Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic, progressive cholestatic disease. Strictures of major bile ducts are a frequent complication. No effective medical treatment exists; endoscopic therapies have been studied, including stent placement (PS) and endoscopic balloon dilation (EBD).
