| الملخص: | This paper explores the existence of a wage gap between the two genders using a sample of 6081 individuals and tests the effect of experience and educational backgrounds on widening or narrowing this gap. The findings indicate that there is a wage gap on the Lebanese job market. Significantly, a male with the same experience and the same educational background as a female will earn more than her in terms of the basic salary. The regression analysis implies a positive relationship between education and income, on the one side, and experience and income, on the other, pointing out to the role that education and experience have in terms of narrowing the wage gap. |
