| description | Emotional Exhaustion has been on the rise as a result of increased workload and technostress in the workplace. The purpose of this research is to explore how emotional exhaustion influences employee withdrawal behaviors both physical and psychological; and whether supervisory coaching moderates this relationship. It also adds to the limited literature on supervisory coaching in business organizations, specifically, in relation to its impact on withdrawal behaviors. To test the hypotheses set for this study, data was gathered through a survey shared via email, WhatsApp and other social media platforms. The data was then analyzed using SPSS. Results show that technostress and workload both increase emotional exhaustion leading to increased withdrawal behaviors. Also, supervisory coaching moderates the relationship between emotional exhaustion and physical withdrawal but not psychological withdrawal behaviors. Managerial implications, limitations and future research direction are also addressed. |
