We therefore overview related areas, for instance the Goal-QuestionMetric paradigm and the Capability Maturity Model. We also present a set of software metrics. To be of practical use, we propose an exhaustive Software Metrics Programme to guide a typical Lebanese software company through the initiation and implementation of software metrics in its environment.
