Summary:This article was conducted to examine the various steps the schools of management have passed by across history; starting from the classical management theory which was developed during the industrial revolution to the behavioral management principles and theories which were developed during the classical period. Afterward we discuss the evolvement of the management science theory which was the result of the research conducted during World War II. To conclude, we discuss the contingency theory as no one best way to manage.
