| الملخص: | <p dir="ltr"><b>This conference contribution was presented by Almutazbellah Ahmad Ali Alabd, Universal School, (International Conference on Debate and Dialogue. An Initiative of QatarDebate 2025).</b></p><p dir="ltr">This study investigated the effectiveness of debate-based learning in enhancing Arabic proficiency among heritage speakers compared to traditional and presentational methods. The sample included 42 students, divided into three groups. Key questions examined the impact of debate-based learning on writing proficiency, the most effective method in teaching, and students' engagement and motivation across methods. Quantitative data showed greater proficiency gains in the debate-based group as well as increased student engagement and motivation.
