الملخص:
This Poster was presented by Zenab Ahmed. Libraries Lead Forum 2025 (IFLA MENA 2025)

The poster aims to present the importance of libraries for the knowledge-based development of a country. It focuses on understanding the role of libraries' information literacy approach and what the working population needs most for a developing economy to become a knowledge- based economy. A case study of Qatar’s immigrant manual laborers was undertaken, with a comprehensive review of essential concepts. The findings of a basic yet detailed statistical survey highlighted gaps which can be filled by library services to aid this change. This interdisciplinary research helps highlight the impact of information literacy on marginalized groups in the region, offering valuable insights for countries aiming to build inclusive, knowledge-based societies.

Other Information

Poster was presented at: Libraries Thriving Together in an Open Ecosystem https://www.qnl.qa/en/libraries-lead-forum-2025
License: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Conference information: Libraries Lead Forum 2025 https://www.qnl.qa/en/libraries-lead-forum-2025/agenda
