description <p dir="ltr"><b>This conference contribution was presented by Rana O. Khayat, Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia. (18th Edition of the Qatar University Life Sciences Symposium Bio-Environment: Advances and Innovations. 2025).</b></p><p dir="ltr">The Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx) has suffered severe historical declines but persists today through reintroduction programs. Using 156 GBIF records, we applied rigorous cleaning and spatial thinning, retaining 81 high-quality occurrences. Ensemble species distribution models (SDMs) with WorldClim predictors project major habitat contraction. Persistence is restricted to refugia in Oman and central Saudi Arabia.
