الملخص:<p dir="ltr">Education in Tanzania stands at the crossroads of the nation’s aspirations for sustainable development and social transformation. Since gaining independence in 1961, the government has placed education at the core of its development agenda, marked by initiatives such as free primary education, which opened the doors to learning for millions of children. This monumental increase in enrollment rates has led to different challenges, such as overcrowded classrooms, a shortage of trained teachers, inequalities between rural and urban schools, as well as low retention rates for girls due to poverty and early pregnancy. These challenges have led to a growing divide in the quality of education, where a lack of resources too often limits the promise of learning.
