Description
Summary:
This study delves into the vital area of caregiving for individuals living with chronic illnesses, shedding light on the complex dynamics that affect both patients and their informal caregivers. Chronic illnesses pose significant challenges to daily living, leading to care dependency, and as the global population ages, the burden of chronic conditions grows. Informal caregivers, who voluntarily support their afflicted relatives or friends, play a pivotal role in maintaining the well-being of those with chronic illnesses. However, the responsibilities they shoulder often come at the cost of their own health and emotional well-being, contributing to caregiver burden. This research aims to explore the quality of life, family relationships, and health outcomes of both patients and their informal caregivers. By addressing burnout tendencies in caregiving, healthcare practitioners can improve the overall well-being of patients and caregivers alike. This study is unique in its examination of diverse chronic illnesses, emphasizing the interdependence of patient-caregiver dyads, and offers valuable insights for informed healthcare practice and policy.
