Ce système traduit une volonté qui dépasse la simple protection du patient, en charchany à instaurer un équilibre subtil entre divers impératifs d’ordre juridique, social, éthique et religieux. Dans cet équilibre complexe, la famille ainsi que les commandements religieux conservent une place centrale. Le système s’insère ainsi en harmonie avec les valeurs de l’ordre juridique qatarien. Toutefois, la nécessité d’une législation spécifique sur les questions que posent la fin de vie est cruciale, car les lignes directrices issues des règlement interne ne suffisent pas à résoudre tous les problèmes qui surgissent. End of life care under Qatari law has specific features that reflect the unique society and culture of Qatar. It remains in compliance with the universal values enshrined in international conventions and Constitution.
