| الملخص: |
MD5 signatures from combined file regions. The figure illustrates two approaches for generating MD5 signatures using the first and last regions of a file. a) The first approach involves combining the first and last regions of the file to create a single MD5 signature. The first region, denoted as MD5', represents the MD5 signature calculated from the first portion of the file. Similarly, the last region, denoted as MD5'', represents the MD5 signature calculated from the last portion of the file. The concatenation of MD5' and MD5'' produces the final MD5 signature, represented as MD5, encompassing the entire file. b) The second approach considers separate MD5 signatures for the first and last regions of the file. The first region of the file generates MD5', while the last region generates MD5''. These temporary MD5 signatures capture the unique characteristics of each region. The final MD5 signature, denoted as MD5, is obtained by combining MD5' and MD5'' using a hash function or concatenation operation. This consolidated MD5 signature represents the entire file, considering the distinctive properties captured by both the first and last regions.

References

Paul A.
