The Δ<i>yqhG</i> mutant exhibited a significant reduction in surface-bound PSMs compared with the wild-type strain, whereas complementation restored PSM levels to near wild-type values. Data represent mean ± s.e.m. from three independent experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA; *<i>P</i> < 0.05, ns, not significant.
