Description
Summary:<p>Distributions of estimates of <i>β</i>3 and <i>β</i>8 across all gene expression data simulated with <i>q</i> = 1 or 5 random effects. In panel A, the coefficient <i>β</i>3 was unpenalized for settings with 5 random effects (boxplots on the right), but penalized for settings with only 1 random effect (boxplots on the left). In panel B, the coefficient <i>β</i>8 was penalized in both settings.</p> <p>(EPS)</p>
