description <p dir="ltr">This dataset accompanies a study investigating the relationship of general victim blaming attitudes, understanding violence against women, beliefs in a just world, and moral disengagement with technology-facilitated sexual violence myth acceptance. </p><p dir="ltr">The dataset includes responses from 144 participants, comprising of adult members of the general public predominately in Australia.</p><p dir="ltr"><b>Data collection and methodology:</b></p><ul><li>Participants were recruited online through social media, survey distribution platforms, and targeted professional networks (namely and Australian police force).</li><li>Participants completed the following measures:</li><li><ul><li>Technology-Facilitated Sexual Violence Myth Acceptance Scale</li><li>General Victim Blame Scale</li><li>Understanding Violence Against Women Scale</li><li>Mechanisms of Moral Disengagement Scale (24-item)</li><li>Global Beliefs in a Just World Scale</li></ul></li><li>The final dataset includes demographic variables and anonymized responses to scale items.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><b>Ethical approval</b> for data collection was granted by the University of Jaén Human Research Ethics Committee. All participants provided informed consent prior to participation, and all data were collected anonymously to ensure privacy and confidentiality in accordance with ethical guidelines for human research</p>
