| Summary: | <p dir="ltr">In this folder we provide the time and location of the 79 MEX and MAVEN conjunction events identified between 2014 and 2021 over the same region in the dayside ionosphere. Additionally, we provide the electron density profiles, spanning 4-10 September 2015, obtained by the MARSIS radar on board Mars express. The data files include the data and images for the electron density profiles derived from the MARSIS-AIS ionograms and the Chapman layer fits to these profiles. README text files are included for further information.</p><p dir="ltr">If this dataset is used, please acknowledge the following paper together with this dataset:</p><p dir="ltr">D. Meggi, B. This includes information about the observations and the geometry and location of Mars Express.</p><p dir="ltr"> '4 MARSIS-AIS Orbits Ne Profile Images', which contains images of the electron density profiles fitted to a Chapman layer function. </p><p dir="ltr">'4 MARSIS-AIS Orbits Chapman Fit Free Parameters', which contains information on the three free parameters obtained by fitting the electron density profiles to a Chapman layer function.
