| Summary: | A simple cost-effectiveness model for the double-pass solar air heater (DP-SAH) with fins and nano-PCM storage system was developed. The model just concentrates on the heater design parameters such as mass flow rate, upper and lower channel depth and the heater length. The cost-benefit ratio of the annual cost to annual thermal energy gain AC/ATEG is presented for different combinations of the heater design parameters. Therefore, the designer can select the optimum design which is depending on the application. It can be observed that it is more cost-effective if the user operates the DP-SAH at a higher mass flow rate during the discharge process to extract more stored thermal energy.

|
