Genome alignment of the variants and ancestral <i>Mydovirus</i> H evidences its recombination with a sequence of unknown origin.

<p><b>a.</b> Functional annotation and intergenomic similarity of the 6 variants isolated in K-type 23 and ancestral phage H. The representation of the annotated genomes was performed using the R package gggenomes [<a href="http://www.plosbiology.org/article/info:doi/10.137...

Crynodeb:<p><b>a.</b> Functional annotation and intergenomic similarity of the 6 variants isolated in K-type 23 and ancestral phage H. The representation of the annotated genomes was performed using the R package gggenomes [<a href="http://www.plosbiology.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pbio.3003515#pbio.3003515.ref075" target="_blank">75</a>]. A detailed view of the unknown origin genes acquired by all the isolated variants is provided. <b>b.</b> 3D folding of the ancestral RBP5 and acquired RBPK23 that swapped during the experiment. RBPK23 is associated with the acquisition of infectivity in K23. The table indicates the percentage of identity of the parental protein sequences. ID: identity between protein sequences, NA: no alignment.</p>
