Description
Summary:The study aimed to explore in depth the concerns of protection of bank customers in UAE. The study has found that there has been a significant effort by the financial institutions to achieve a customer centric framework that stands to win all the stakeholders. The reactions from experts also depicted that there exist positive sentiments as pertains the efforts to deploy protection systems across the banking firms in the region. The methodology of the study has been elaborated in chapter 3 in terms of design, philosophy, approach, technique, collection and analysis of data, and ethical concerns in order to establish protocols that are going to be used to develop a subjective and explorative study to address the topic. The findings indicated that among the efforts for protection include information sharing disclosure, credit and liquidity risks control, financial literacy, dispute settlement mechanisms, green economy, and financial disclosure among others. On the other hand, the identified barriers include increased competition, cultural shift, and variations in business models.
