Summary:The Geography of Finance has emerged as a multidisciplinary field exploring the connections between spatial factors, network dynamics, and institutional forces in finance. The study aims to uncover the topic; however, it focuses on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), investigating how these elements shape its financial landscape and contribute to developing a new science. Understanding how geography, networks, and institutions intersect becomes crucial as the UAE gains prominence in the global financial sphere. Specialized financial zones like ADGM and DIFC highlight the interplay between spatial arrangements and regulations. Building on Spatial Economic, Network, and Institutional Theories, this research aims to fill a gap in comprehending these inter-relations in the UAE's financial jurisdiction. The study addresses the gap by exploring how geography, networks, and institutions interact in the UAE's financial landscape. Surveys and observations support it to gather data. Questionnaires are distributed among finance professionals to capture their perspectives on the impact of these factors. Visits to the financial hubs provide insights into spatial arrangements, interactions, and institutional setups. Survey results indicate a consensus that geography significantly influences financial activities in the UAE. This study's comprehensive analysis of findings supports the development of a new science, offering a nuanced understanding of the Geography of Finance. By contributing to this emerging field, the study empowers decision-makers in the finance sector to navigate this dynamic landscape more effectively.
