Do high energy-efficient buildings increase overheating risk in cold climates? Causes and mitigation measures required under recent and future climates
Published 2022“…The building envelope thermal characteristics studied represent houses built in different periods from 1950 to high energy-efficient buildings in Montreal under different weather generations: typical historical (1961–1990), recent observational (2016), and typical future years 2030 (2026–2045) and 2090 (2080–2099) generated based on RCP-4.5 and 8.5 scenarios. The results showed that the high energy-efficient buildings can be more resilient to climate change than old buildings if adequate ventilation is provided, where the decrease of window and wall U-value, and SHGC all contribute to the decrease in indoor temperature. …”

Effects of Social Media Use and Dependence on Dietary Intake and Prevalence of Orthorexia in Pregnant and Non-Pregnant Women
Published 2022“…Social media use may negatively affect the dietary choices and intuitive eating behaviors of both pregnant and non-pregnant women. That being said, interventions to regulate social media content and limit exposure to unrealistic thin ideal as well as to educate women about dietary changes and requirements during pregnancy may be helpful to increase intuitive eating behaviors and decrease the risk of disordered eating and orthorexia in this population.…”

Prevalence, correlates and management of hyperglycemia in diabetic non-critically Ill patients at a tertiary care center in Lebanon
Published 2019“…The major factor perceived by nurses as a barrier to successful hyperglycemia management was the lack of knowledge about appropriate insulin use (87.5%). Conclusion: Considerable mismanagement of hyperglycemia in diabetic non-critically ill patients exists; indicating a compelling need for the development and implementation of protocol-driven insulin order forms a comprehensive education plan on the appropriate use of insulin.…”
