Correlation Clustering via s-Club Cluster Edge Deletion by Makarem, Norma

    Published 2023
“…In certain situations, the requirement for clusters to be cliques was deemed excessively stringent, leading to the proposal of alternative relaxed clique models for dense subgraphs, such as s-club. In this work, we implement three approaches to tackle the 2-club clustering via edge deletion: a heuristic approach based on the influence of the edge to resolve maximum conflicts, a parameterized algorithm in which by deleting a maximum of k edges, the graph can be transformed into a 2-club cluster based on a branching algorithm, and the approach in Integer Linear Programming to find the optimized solution in an integer formulation. …”

Thermodynamic Analysis and Optimization of Densely-Packed Receiver Assembly Components in High-Concentration CPVT Solar Collectors by Sharaf, Omar Z.

    Published 2016
“…The separately-series equivalent thermal resistance network technique is employed in the thermal analyses in order to treat two-dimensional steady-state heat transfer in composite structures with different thermal conductivities as one-dimensional without a loss of accuracy. Finally, using the developed design models and simulation algorithms, constrained non-linear multi-variable geometric optimization of the assembly components has been carried out to obtain minimum pumping power, maximum extractor heat transfer coefficient, and maximum thermoelectric power output. …”

On-site workshop investment problem: A novel mathematical approach and solution procedure by Nima Moradi (19418821)

    Published 2023
“…In the present work, by considering the OSWs, a real construction project scheduling problem is studied as a Multi-Mode On-Site Workshop Investment Problem with Tardiness (MOSWIPT) while finding the installation/dismantling time of the OSWs. Two new (linear) mathematical programming models are proposed for MOSWIPT. …”
