Notch Signaling Inhibition by LY411575 Attenuates Osteoblast Differentiation and Decreased Ectopic Bone Formation Capacity of Human Skeletal (Mesenchymal) Stem Cells
Published 2019“…Among the tested molecules, LY411575, a potent γ-secretase and Notch signaling inhibitor, exhibited significant inhibitory effects on osteoblastic differentiation of hBMSCs manifested by reduced ALP activity, mineralized matrix formation, and decreased osteoblast-specific gene expression as well as in vivo ectopic bone formation. …”

A slow but steady nanoLuc: R162A mutation results in a decreased, but stable, nanoLuc activity
Published 2024“…In this regard, engineering of brighter bioluminescent proteins, i.e. luciferases, has played a significant role. This is acutely exemplified by the engineering of the NLuc luciferase, which is small in size and displays much enhanced bioluminescence and thermal stability compared to previously available luciferases. …”

Data-driven discovery of Tsallis-like distribution using symbolic regression in high-energy physics
Published 2024“…
The application of atificial intelligence (AI) in fundamental physics has faced limitations due to its inherently uninterpretable nature, which is less conducive to solving physical problems where natural phenomena are expressed in human-understandable language, i.e. mathematical equations. Fortunately, there exists a form of interpretable AI that aligns seamlessly with this requirement, namely, symbolic regression (SR), which learns mathematical equations directly from data. …”

The epidemiology of hepatitis C virus in Central Asia: Systematic review, meta-analyses, and meta-regression analyses
Published 2019“…Across CA, the pooled mean prevalence was 13.5% (95%CI: 10.9–16.4%) among non-specific clinical populations, 31.6% (95%CI: 25.8–37.7%) among populations with liver-related conditions, and 51.3% (95%CI: 46.9–55.6%) among people who inject drugs. Genotypes 1 (52.6%) and 3 (38.0%) were most frequent. Evidence was found for statistically-significant differences in prevalence by country, but not for a temporal decline in prevalence. …”

Prevalence and clinical significance of antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 admitted to intensive care units: a prospective observational study
Published 2022“…Although the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) has been proposed as a possible mechanism of COVID-19-induced coagulopathy, its clinical significance remains uncertain. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and clinical significance of aPLs among critically ill patients with COVID-19. …”
