Effect of carbon nanotubes on the bonding mechanism of non-corrosive reinforcements to concrete
Published 2024“…Through testing 30 pullout specimens, parameters including maximum bond strength, normalized bond strength, failure mode, and bar slippage under maximum bond stress were evaluated. Results showed a slight reduction in bond strength, minor improvement in normalized bond strength, increased development length of FRP bars, and decreased reinforcement slippage associated with the ultimate bond stress when MWCNTs were incorporated into the concrete mixture. …”

The Candida albicans Dse1 Protein Is Essential and Plays a Role in Cell Wall Rigidity, Biofilm Formation, and Virulence
Published 2011“…The heterozygote mutant exhibited increased susceptibility to calcofluor white, a cell wall disrupting agent, with a subsequent reduction in cell wall chitin content, decreased oxidative stress tolerance, a 30% reduction in biofilm formation, and a delay in adhesion that was mirrored by a reduction in virulence in a mouse model of infection. …”

Effect of the number of broken wire wraps on the structural performance of PCCP with full interaction at the gasket joint
Published 2016“…The effect of the number and location of broken wire wraps on the structural performance of PCCP is investigated using advanced numerical modeling that considers full interaction between the spigot and bell ends of adjacent pipes. The stresses and strains in the various components of PCCP are evaluated with increasing internal pressure. …”
