Enhancing the corrosion resistance of reinforcing steel under aggressive operational conditions using behentrimonium chloride by A. Bahgat Radwan (9631720)

    Published 2019
“…Herein, the inhibition efficiency of a new corrosion inhibitor, behentrimonium chloride (BTC, C25H54ClN), is explored in a simulated-concrete pore solution (SCP) with 3.5 wt.% NaCl at different pH using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization methods. …”

Enhancing the production of biogas through anaerobic co-digestion of agricultural waste and chemical pre-treatments by Fares Almomani (12585685)

    Published 2020
“…The results revealed that the highest cumulative methane production (CMP) of 297.99 NL/kgVS can be generated by co-digestion of ASWs and CD at a ratio of 60:40. Further improvement was achieved via alkalinity treatment with 1.0 g of NaHCO3/gVS leading to decrease in lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose contents of feedstock by 3.5%, 10.5% and 15.9%, respectively, converting them to soluble fractions and improving the CMP by 11.2–29.7% based on substrate quality. …”

Small molecule inhibition of stat3 enhances survival in mice with intracerebral melanoma by Abou-Ghazal, Mohamed

    Published 2008
“…Long-term survival was observed in 80% of mice with established intracerebral syngeneic melanoma treated with 40 mg/kg of WP1066 in contrast to mice treated with the vehicle control that had a median survival of 15 days (P<0.001). Upon rechallenge, in the animal group that had received WP1066 via o.g., the median survival was 18 days (95% CI: 17, NA), which was significantly different compared to naïve animals challenged at the same time that had a median survival of 11 days (95% CI; 10, NA) (p<0.001); however, there were only 10% long-term survivors suggesting that treatment alone did not generate significant long-term protective immunity. …”
