Experimental determination and computational fluid dynamics predictions of pressure loss in close-coupled elbows (RP-1682) حسب Salehi, Mohammad

    منشور في 2017
"…The results of this study showed that the loss coefficient increased as a function of separation distance between the elbows in a Z-configuration and decreased in a U-configuration. …"

Simulation and experimental study of underwater dissimilar friction-stir welding between aluminium and steel حسب Eyvazian, Arameh

    منشور في 2020
"…Theeffects of processing parameters on the formation of intermetallic compounds (IMCs) atthe Al/St interface, microstructural characteristics, and mechanical property of dissimilarweldments were studied and addressed. By decreasing tool rotational speed (w), increas-ing traverse velocity (v), and employing cooling medium, peak temperature continuouslyreduced (down to ?…"

Long-Distance Vowel-to-Vowel Coarticulation in Arabic: Influences of Intervening Consonant Pharyngealization and Length حسب Ahmed, Sarah

    منشور في 2019
"…Speakers of Egyptian Arabic were recorded saying sentences containing nonsense sequences of the form /baɁabaCV:/, where C was chosen from {/t/, /tˤ/, /t:/, /tˤ:/} and V was a long vowel /i:/, /a:/ or /u:/. Analysis of the first and second formants of the recorded vowels revealed that (a) vowel-to-vowel coarticulatory effects could sometimes extend to a distance of three vowels before the context vowel; (b) the consonant-to-vowel effects associated with pharyngealization were consistently seen at similar distances, while also decreasing in magnitude at greater distances from the triggering consonant; and (c) effects related to intervening consonant length were idiosyncratic, and in particular did not lead to consistent blocking of vowel-to-vowel effects. …"
