Evaluating the Potential of Ozone Microbubbles for Inactivation of Tulane Virus, a Human Norovirus Surrogate
Published 2024“…After 2, 10, and 20 min postgeneration, the ozone concentration of microbubbles naturally decreased from 4 ppm to 3.2 ± 0.2, 2.26 ± 0.19, and 1.49 ± 0.23 ppm and resulted in 1.43 ± 0.44, 0.88 ± 0.5, and 0.68 ± 0.53 log10 viral reductions, respectively, while the ozone concentration of aqueous ozone decreased from 4 ppm to 2.52 ± 0.07, 0.43 ± 0.05, and 0.09 ± 0.01 ppm and produced 0.8 ± 0.28, 0.29 ± 0.41, and 0.16 ± 0.21 log10 reductions against Tulane virus, respectively (<i>p</i> = 0.0526), suggesting that structuring of ozone in the bubbles over the applied treatment conditions did not have a significant effect, though future study with continuous generation of ozone microbubbles is needed.…”

DPT3 Stat EDHS for five surveys.
Published 2024“…However, based on the subnational region level, significance difference (PAR) was found in all surveys: 59.7 (2000), 51.1 (2005), 52.2 (2011), 42.5 (2016) and 30.7 (2019). The interesting point of this finding was that, the value of absolute inequality measures (PAR) and (PAF), are shown a decreasing trends from 2000 to 2019, and the gap among the better of regions and poor regions becoming narrowed over the last 20 years. …”

Machine Learning Accelerates Discovery of Optimal Colloidal Quantum Dot Synthesis
Published 2019“…At longer wavelengths, we also achieve improved monodispersity, with an hwhm of 55 meV at 950 nm and 24 meV at 1500 nm, compared to the best published to date values of 75 and 26 meV, respectively.…”

Total history dependence decreases for small time bins Δ<i>t</i>.
Published 2021“…The smaller the time bin, the higher the risk that noise in the spike emission reduces the overall predictability or history dependence in the spiking, whereas an overly large time bin holds the risk of destroying coding relevant time information in the spike train. Thus, we chose the smallest time bin Δ<i>t</i> = 5 ms that does not yet show a substantial decrease in <i>R</i>tot. …”

The introduction of mutualisms into assembled communities increases their connectance and complexity while decreasing their richness.
Published 2025“…(C) Mutualism also promotes an increase in network connectance when introduced into assembled communities, while stopping mutualistic interactions from entering an assembled system slowly decreases it. (D) As a result, the introduction of mutualistic interactions promotes a growth in complexity in communities where it was once established as low, while stopping the introduction of further mutualistic interactions causes a slight decrease in complexity. …”
