Depletion of xlPTP4A3 inhibits both migration of NCC and uveal melanoma cells.
Published 2013“…B) Timelapse videomicroscopy of stage 17-derived NCC treated with a pharmacological inhibitor of PTP4A3, a rhodanine derivative (PRL-3 inhibitor I), shows that inhibition of PTP4A3 increases the average of pausing NC cells and strongly decreases the migration velocity of the treated cells (relative to that of vehicle treated cells). …”

Nature-Inspired Homogeneous Catalytic Perchlorate Reduction Using Molybdenum Complexes
Published 2021“…The subsequent stepwise reduction of ClO3– to Cl– is facilitated by our catalysts, but it can also proceed with only PPh3 without the aid of a catalyst. We followed the decrease in perchlorate concentration in the catalytic solutions not only indirectly by oxidation of PPh3 to OPPh3 via 1H NMR spectroscopy but also directly by determining the perchlorate concentration at certain time points over 24 h with high-performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (HPLC-ICPMS/MS). …”

In native cartilage, lubricin bound to the surface facilitates HA aggregation near the surface (A). Lubricin likely entraps HA through entanglements, causing a local increase in viscosity near the tissue surface (A, inset). When lubricin is removed from the surface, HA does not aggregate (B) and surface viscosity is likely similar to the bulk (B, inset). Boundary lubrication by lubricin shifts the boundary regime down and increased viscosity near the surface shifts the elastoviscous transition such that the low friction regime occurs at lower sliding speeds consistent with viscous boundary lubrication (C). These phenomena of lubricin and HA replicate the lubrication by synovial fluid which transition to low friction at low speeds. By treating synovial fluid with hyaluronidase, friction is shifted back towards the boundary mode plateau as the fluid viscosity decreases, and trypsin treatment disrupts the synergy between lubricin and HA by digesting lubricin (n = 4; data points represent
