Release of colloids in saturated porous media under transient hydro-chemical conditions: A pore-scale study
Published 2021“…Pore-scale experiments were conducted using a micromodel that is geometrically representative of a real sand-stone rock. Favorable, medium-favorable and unfavorable colloids (i.e., repulsion absent, repulsion at long-range of separation distances and attraction absent with the micromodel surface, respectively) were deposited in the micromodel and then a series of colloid release experiments were conducted at different conditions including increasing the flow rate, decreasing the ionic strength and increasing the solution pH. …”

Using artificially generated pictures in customer-facing systems: an evaluation study with data-driven personas
Published 2020“…Obtaining 6,812 crowd judgments, we find that 90% of the images are rated medium quality or better. STUDY 2 examines the application of artificially generated facial pictures in data-driven personas using an experimental setting where the high-quality pictures are implemented in persona profiles. …”

Response of cauliflower (<i>Brassica oleracea</i> L.) to nitric oxide application under cadmium stress
Published 2022“…The concentration of malondialdehyde (MDA) and Cd accumulation (roots and shoots) increased significantly (P < 0.05) under the increasing levels of Cd in all genotypes of B. oleracea while antioxidant (enzymatic or non-enzymatic) capacity and nutritional status of the plants was decreased with varying levels of Cd in the sand. From all studied genotypes of B. oleracea, Ceilo Blanco and FD-4 was found to be most sensitive species to the Cd stress under the same levels of the Cd in the medium while FD-2 and FD-3 showed more tolerance to the Cd stress compared to all other genotypes of B. oleracea. …”
