Acute intense fatigue does not modify the effect of EVA and TPU custom foot orthoses on running mechanics, running economy and perceived comfort
Published 2022“…Two-way repeated measures ANOVA [condition (CON, EVA, and TPU) × fatigue (fresh and fatigued)] were conducted. Flight time shortened (P = 0.026), peak braking (P = 0.016) and push-off (P = 0.032) forces decreased and vertical stiffness increased (P = 0.014) from before to after the repeated-sprint exercise, independent of footwear condition. …”

SHORT- VS LONG-READ SEQUENCING OF SOIL ARTHROPODS
Published 2025“…

The characterization of soil arthropods traditionally follows morphological identifications of specimens extracted from soil, which is a highly laborious and time-consuming process. Metabarcoding has become an increasingly utilized approach for species identification from environmental DNA (eDNA) samples, and here, we examine the congruence of soil mite communities between morphological and two metabarcoding datasets. …”

Risk of venous thromboembolism outweighs post-hepatectomy bleeding complications
Published 2012“…Complications included deep vein thrombosis (DVT) (1.93%), pulmonary embolism (PE) (1.31%), venous thromboembolism (VTE) (2.88%), postoperative transfusion (0.76%) and ROR with transfusion (0.44%). VTE increased with magnitude of hepatectomy (partial 2.13%, left 2.05%, right 4.15%, extended 5.76%; P < 0.001) and outnumbered bleeding events (P < 0.001). …”

Enablers and Barriers to Knowledge sharing in the UAE infrastructural projects
Published 2018“…The research outcomes indicate that three enablers influence the level of KS contributions to project success: the ability of social networks to simplify personal relationships and social interactions to facilitate the project KS process (E24); the characteristics of the physical environments such as the shape of the office spaces or relaxed and quiet environment (E30); and loyalty and hard work to increase project success via KS (E35). The research findings also show that four enablers are important for the benefits of timely KS in infrastructural projects: leadership commitment to support open and honest two-way communication in projects (E5), measurements of knowledge sharing before and after any project activities (E8), implementation of less formal resources such as social media to share embedded project knowledge (E11), and the ability to communicate between project stakeholders regarding the project through specific channels (E13). …”
