Channel Network Control on Seasonal Lake Area Dynamics in Arctic Deltas
Published 2020“…We find that monthly shrinkage rates have a pronounced structured variability around the channel network with the shrinkage rate systematically decreasing farther away from the channels. This pattern of shrinkage is predominantly attributed to a deeper active layer enhancing near-surface connectivity and storage and greater vegetation density closer to the channels leading to increased evapotranspiration rates. …”

Associations between Bone Mineral Density and WOMAC Scores in Healthy Individuals: Insights from the Qatar Biobank
Published 2024“…</p><h3>Results</h3><p dir="ltr">After controlling for sociodemographic variables, total body and specific BMD measures did not predict pain. However, BMD measures significantly contributed to predicting stiffness after controlling for sociodemographic variables (R2 = 0.065, ΔF(7, 1724) = 3.34, p= 0.002), with a higher total body BMD associated with increased stiffness and a higher trunk BMD associated with decreased stiffness. …”

Published 2009“…Studies of ABCB1 and ABCG2 activity showed that MPTP intoxication did not alter their functionality. Conversely, ABCG2 expression studied on brain capillaries from MPTP-treated mice was decreased (1.3-fold, p<0.05) and ABCB1 expression increased (1.43-fold, p<0.05) as an off-setting of brain transport. …”
