How does varying the number of personas affect user perceptions and behavior? Challenging the ‘small personas’ hypothesis! by Joni Salminen (7434770)

    Published 2022
“…Our study results from eye-tracking and survey data suggest that when using interactive persona systems, the number of personas can be increased from the conventionally suggested ‘less than ten’, without significant negative effects on user perceptions or task performance, and with the positive effects of increasing engagement with the personas, having a more diverse representation of the end-user population, as well as users accessing personas from more varied demographic groups for a design task. …”

Why do some countries produce more capital intensive output than others? by Toukan, Amjad

    Published 2016
“…Based on my model I offer an explanation for the variation in physical capital intensity across countries where the model predictions show that a lower quality of governance in a country results in a decrease in the output of capital-intensive goods and an increase in the output of labor-intensive goods. In conducting panel data regressions (17 developing countries and 23 OECD countries over a period of twelve years 1982-1995), controlling for time and country fixed effects as well as quality of governance, I find a positive and statistically significant relationship between the Bureaucratic Efficiency Index (the higher the Bureaucratic Efficiency Index the higher the quality of governance) and the ratio of the value added share of capital intensive goods to the value added share of labor intensive goods. …”

Understanding the formation of active site in copper ceria system for carbon dioxide catalytic conversion by Parisa Ebrahimi (14152392)

    Published 2025
“…Additionally, the catalyst also exhibited reactivity in the dry reforming of methane at elevated temperatures (above 800 °C). The characterization data suggest that the strong interaction among finely dispersed CuO and the CeO2 support enhances electron transfer, leading to a higher density of surface oxygen vacancies and Cu+ species, which in turn promotes the redox cycle. …”
