Experimental Investigation of the Impact of Mixed Wettability on Pore-Scale Fluid Displacement: A Microfluidic Study by Abdullah AlOmier (20402765)

    Published 2024
“…However, inefficiently distributed mixed wet zones were found to reduce the sweep efficiency. These findings highlight the critical influence of mixed wettability in fluid displacement processes, with significant implications for applications in oil recovery, CO2 sequestration, and other subsurface energy technologies.…”

Global Land Use Change Impacts on Soil Nitrogen Availability and Environmental Losses by Jing Wang (6206297)

    Published 2025
“…By compiling a global data set of 1,782 paired observations from 185 publications, we show that land use conversion from natural to managed ecosystems significantly reduced NNM by 7.5% (−11.5, −2.8%) and increased NN by 150% (86, 194%), indicating decreasing N availability while increasing potential N loss through denitrification and nitrate leaching. …”

Emotional stimulation test. by Sung Ah Chung (21672770)

    Published 2025
“…</p><p>Results</p><p>A higher correction rate of unpleasant facial emotional perception—defined as the proportion of emotional stimuli (positive, negative, and neutral expressions) interpreted as unpleasant—was significantly associated with reduced HRV, as evidenced by lower high-frequency (HF) power and decreased standard deviation of normal-to-normal intervals (SDNN). …”

Benchmark regression results. by Pengyu Yang (2668450)

    Published 2024
“…The findings reveal that: (1) At this stage, digital transformation in listed companies effectively reduces their carbon intensity, but the relationship between the two is not linear; instead, it exhibits a U-shaped trajectory, initially decreasing then increasing. (2) Analysis of mechanism indicates that costs associated with environmental governance and innovations in green technology serve as critical pathways through which corporate digital transformation influences carbon intensity. (3) The analysis of driving effect suggests that the digital transformation significantly curtails the carbon emission intensity of both upstream and downstream enterprises as well as those within the same industry and geographical region, through industrial linkage and the cohort effect. (4) Heterogeneity analysis elucidates that the digital transformation of enterprises in regions with stronger government environmental regulations has a markedly more pronounced effect on reducing the carbon emission intensity. …”
