Towards the development of an integrated model for examining the determinants affecting the use of Queue Management Solutions in Healthcare
Published 2021“…The results revealed that the new tool is beneficial, and the median times to finish the processes within the patient’s journey have significantly decreased. To evaluate the use of the enhanced QMS, this research develops an integrated model based on the integration of various constructs extracted from different theoretical models, including the UTAUT, TAM, and social cognitive theory (SCT) along with trust and innovativeness as external factors. …”

The rising danger of heat waves
Published 2015“…They used land surface temperature images obtained from remotely-sensed thermal data, combined with meteorological data, and integrated data about other important factors such as land use and air pollution to generate a predictive model of frequency, intensity and duration of heat waves in Qatar. The model, which is based on daily meteorological data from 2000 to 2012, suggests that at least 87% of Qatari infants under 4 years of age, as well as more than 86% of elderly people and 80% of the general population could be exposed to hazardous heat wave events at least once in the next five years. …”

Total and segmental liver volume variations
Published 2015“…This reproducible, noninvasive procedure is necessary because significant interpatient variation is believed to exist in the relative contributions of the hepatic segments to TLV.11 CT volumetry accurately predicts TLV on the basis of body surface area or body weight,12 which may achieve the true goal of preoperative CT volumetry of the liver, that is to estimate the individual patient's hepatic metabolic demands after resection or transplantation.7 Complications associated with technical aspects of liver surgery are decreasing, and focus has concurrently shifted to analysis of postoperative complications after major hepatic resection and liver transplantation on the basis of liver remnant volume and graft volume.3., 4., 6., 7., 8. and 13. …”
