<i>cey-1</i> loss-of-function mutants as well as worms with neuron-specific rescue of <i>cey-1</i> (<i>cey-1(rrr12)</i>; <i>rab-3p</i>::<i>CEY-1</i>) have no deficits in butanone sensing or motility, and neuron-specific rescue of <i>cey-1</i> restores learning and memory ability to wild-type levels.
